Course description and aims

This course invites current managers from foreign affiliates with overseas headquarters, in a variety of industries, to give lectures on corporate business details, R&D initiatives, ways of thinking, and values. Instructors lecture on the qualities and attributes expected of people to participate in value creation.
Whether the student joins a Japanese or foreign company, they will be active on the global stage. The nationalities of competing companies span the world.
By understanding early the little known circumstances of global activities and the qualities sought for them, students will be able to make more accurate choices about their future careers.

Student learning outcomes

Students gain understandings of the circumstances in all sorts of industries, and global companies playing leading roles in these industries. Students also deepen their understandings of the qualities, values, and behavioral patterns sought for globally active employees.

This omnibus-format lectures will be taught by instructors from 7 leading global companies from a variety of industries that employ advanced engineering professionals in Japan such as Corning, 3M, DuPont, P&G, Pfizer, DSM, Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Schlumberger, Bosch, Lenovo, and GE Health Care.
