Course description and aims

This course focuses on the basic statistical methods: how to collect data, how to draw graphs, and statistical inference.

Student learning outcomes

The goal of this course is to master the basic techniques of statistics often used in the areas of education and psychology.

Class flow

The instructor will mainly give lectures in class. Exercises using software R will be provided in LAT.A403: Practices for Psychological and Educational Measurement A.

Class 3 Introduction to statistical inference Master the idea of statistical inference.
Class 4 Inference on the population mean. Null hypothesis
