Course description and aims

This course covers human learning mechanism (reasoning, problem solving, knowledge acquisition etc.) applying artificial intelligence and educational technology and introduces examples of instructional design applying them. In "Learning mechanism and instructional design B", we introduce educational systems of human learning and their application to instructional design.

Student learning outcomes

・To understand higher cognitive mechanism (reasoning, problem solving, knowledge acquisition etc.) focusing on human learning.
・To design instruction based on understanding human learning mechanism.
Theme: application of learning mechanism to instructional design

Keywords

Artificial intelligence, educational system, instructional design, learning environment design

Competencies that will be developed

Specialist skills Intercultural skills Communication skills Critical thinking skills Practical and/or problem-solving skills

Class flow

We adopt standard lecture-style teaching, accompanied practice.
