The aims of this course is to acquire the basic knowledge of Japanese culture, to discuss what is culture, and to summarize them as a final report.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:1) enjoy and appreciate Japanese culture, 2) explain original aspects of Japanese culture, 3) write some essays about Japanese culture as a final report.

Topics change every lesson. Every lesson contains examples and questions for group discussions. Attendance is taken in every class. A final report is the most essential.
|Course schedule||Required learning|
|Class 1||Students will participate in one of Japanese classes (400 numbering subjects) which fits the students' language ability and learn the viewpoints of their own in terms of Japanese culture through class activities.||Acquiring the higher level of language skills and the profound knowledge of Japanese culture.|
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
Assessment will be conducted based on student's attendance, discussions, a final report or a presentation.
You must reserve your seat in this class in advance using the Japanese class online system (http://js.ila.titech.ac.jp/~web). You will not be allowed to take a seat without your reservation.
