Course description and aims

The aims of this course are to learn the basics of how to tell a reason. Students will be requested to pick up a thing which you like most, write a short essay on it, and present your peers how much you like it with good reasons.

Student learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to acquire the basics of: 1) writing a short essay, 2) learning Japanese idiomatic expressions, and 3) remembering all of the fundamental kun'yomi kanji.

Class flow

Class will be conducted with pairs or small groups. Class will start with lecture, followed by pair work. Students will make a presentation of the discussion outcome.

Class 4 Make a well-structured paragraph. Consider how you construct a paragraph in which you clearly insist the reason why you like it
