講義の概要とねらい
この授業はTOEFLをまったく知らないあるいは受験したことがない学生向けのTOEFL入門の授業である。英語の四技能のうち、特に聴解力と発話力の基礎力を磨きながら、TOEFLのテスト形式になれることを目指す。また短期留学に必要な基礎的な語彙を学ぶ。
到達目標
・TOEFLの出題形式や内容に親しむこと。
・クラス内でのペアワークやグループワークを通して聴解力と発話力の向上させること。
・短いスピーチや会話を聴き、要点を理解したうえでその要点を短文で要約し英語を使って表現することができること。

授業の進め方
Based on a textbook on the TOEFL iBT Test, this class focuses on improving listening and speaking skills, but sometimes refers to reading and writing sections as well in view of interrelation among four main skills in English language. The fourth and final classes are followed by examinations.
