講義の概要とねらい
「英語プレゼンテーション演習」のコースはすべて、学生が自信をもって効果的なプレゼンテーションをおこなうための技能を修得することを目的とする。実践に重点をおくコースであるため、学生は学期中に複数のプレゼンテーションをおこなう。また、よい質問の仕方や積極的な聞き手になる方法を学び、リスニングの力を向上させる。
200番台の選択科目として、「英語プレゼンテーション演習第八」では、100番台のコースよりは高度な内容の演習をおこなう。豊富な知識に基づいて構成されたプレゼンテーションを一人でおこなうための基礎的な技能を身につけることを目指す。
到達目標
コース終了時には、学生は聴衆を惹きつけつつ、一人でプレゼンテーションをおこない、質疑応答をこなすことができる。

授業の進め方
This class is designed to introduce students to the key points of presentation structure, as well as the key skills required to deliver a successful presentation. A variety of topics will be introduced and discussed, and students will be expected to plan, practice and deliver presentations based on these topics.

学修効果を上げるため，教科書や配布資料等の該当箇所を参照し，「毎授業」授業内容に関する予習と復習（課題含む）をそれぞれ概ね100分を目安に行うこと。
