This course is aimed at students pursuing a long-term exchange. Students will do training to improve the four skills of English. Students will learn English skills necessary for a long-term exchange at the graduate level (capable of listening to contents at the general education course level of bachelor students, take notes, make presentations in seminars, and express your opinion), and learn vocabulary and English skills to explain specialized content without difficulty.
Understand the TOEFL question, and be able to follow its outline. Also be able to clearly explain orally not just the main points of the material, but also its outline. Students should also be able to comment on and give a presentation on the reading problems assigned. Be able to clearly answer questions from students in the classroom. Also be able to hold a somewhat specialized debate.

Attendance is taken at each class. The course is built around TOEFL-modelled listening and speaking activities (including Integrated Skills activities that also involve reading) in the textbook and its related online support sites.
