講義の概要とねらい
「アカデミックプレゼンテーション」のコースはすべて、さまざまな学問的な場でプレゼンテーションをおこなうための技能訓練を目的とする。実践的な練習を通じて、学生はこうした技能を効果的に発表に適用し、自信をもって多様な状況に対応するための知識を修得する。自分の考えを明晰に伝えるための戦略を学べるよう、教員は建設的なフィードバックをおこなう。さらに、学生は聴衆としても、仲間に対して洞察力のある刺激的な質問ができるよう、リスニングの技能を磨く。
400番台の選択科目として、「アカデミックプレゼンテーション第十三」は、大学院生が豊富な知識に基づくプレゼンテーションを一人でおこなうために必要な技能を身につけることを目指す。
到達目標
コース終了時には、学生はアカデミックな場で一人でプレゼンテーションをおこない、質疑応答をこなすことができる。また、言語によるメッセージと非言語のメッセージをともに意識しつつ、聴衆を惹きつける発表をおこない、発表後は聴衆からの質問にも巧みに答えることができる。

授業の進め方
The course will guide students through the process of giving a presentation - from the planning stages and awareness of the elements of an effective presentation, to signposting, through to the main body of the presentation to the final question and answer session.

The subject will be organized around online material and class discussions. Edmodo will be used and is designed to help learners engage with required readings and video viewings.

成績評価の基準及び方法
Presentation: 20 marks A marking rubric has been developed and will be posted on Edmodo -- Content (15 marks) & Language (5)
Discussion: 10 marks -- Responding to Questions - 5 marks & Audience Member Participation - 5 marks
Total: 30 marks of final grade
Participation: 20 marks -- 10 marks in class and 10 marks online
