This course facilitate students' ability of face to face communication. We need to collaborate and co-create in front of many problems. Not only becoming a good speaker and a good listener, but also learning the basic skills of facilitation to create a collaborative community.
This course aims to cultivate alive communication and facilitation skill through workshop experience.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) enjoy the creative communication even in the first meeting.
2) facilitate a playful and effective meeting.
3) plan an original workshop and design the program.

I had worked for the advertising company for 30 years, and I have facilitated workshops for 25 years. Based on these experiences, I try to raise students' s ability for collaboration and co-creation in this difficult age. I would like to nurture the power of dialogue based on listening, expression, and facilitation skill to create good atmosphere to learn each other. |

This course is not one way lecture style but participatory workshop style. In the first half, students experience various kind of communication style such as self introduction, interview, dialogue, and world cafe etc. In the second half, they learn how to facilitate. In the end each participant facilitates a small group in turn and feedback each other.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
