This course is offered by lecturers from Mizuho Financial Group.
The course is designed for students to understand the outline of the current state of finance, financial business, and innovation in financial institutions, even without preliminary knowledge. As shown in the course schedule, the lecturer will explain the broad pictures and recent trends of each topic in each class.

Class 1 - Class 7:Lectures
- Each week, students are required to watch the recording of the class, create a "summary report" based on the content of the class, and submit the report through OCW-i. The deadline for submitting "summary reports" is 5:00 pm the day after each class.
(One recording is separated according to units.)
- Students can write questions at the end of "summary reports." Answers to the questions will be uploaded to OCW-i by the end of the following week and will be open to all students.
- Questions other than the content of the class will be accepted by e-mails by the course coordinator (See "Contact information" in the syllabus.)
- Students have to submit an "final report" through OCW-i at the end of the course. Details of the requirements of the "final report" will be explained in the first class. The deadline for submitting the "final report" is 5:00 pm, one week from the last class.

Assessment will be based on summary reports (50%) and a paper at the end of the course (50%).
