Course description and aims

This course aims at enabling students to acquire basic knowledge about sexual diversity, and to learn about queer studies, which is a new academic field problematizing norms on gender, body and desire.
Through the consideration of sexual diversity, this course facilitate students' understanding and perspectives in order to live together with various others.

Student learning outcomes

1) Have an understanding of the basic knowledge about sexual diversity
2) Acquire perspectives of queer studies
3) Apply queer perspectives to various social problems

Class flow

Coursework will include writing comments on various topics everytime.

This course is a four day intensive course, and dates and time periods are as follows;
February 18 (Thu):Class 1(Period 1-2), Class 2(Period 3-4), Class 3(Period 5-6), Class 4(Period 7-8)
February 19 (Fri):Class 5(Period 1-2), Class 6(Period 3-4), Class 7(Period 5-6), Class 8(Period 7-8)
