This class focus on the democracy in Japan society, its enlightenment and educational process, and those advantage and disadvantage point.
The purpose of this class is the combination the knowledge of the era facing the danger of democracy, and the current Japan society. We try to discuss how to develop and improve the democracy in Japan society.
Students will be able to:
1.) explain a citizenship education in recent Japan society.
2.) understand and explain advantages and disadvantages of the public citizenship education textbook for high school students.
3.) discuss "democracy", the public citizenship education textbook was used 1950's for high school student in Japan

This course consists of lectures combined with discussions in small groups, presentations, and the like. Some student have to write the resume, report the content of the textbook. Lecturer will complement additionally in the discussion to understand further. Students must prepare the class.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
