Overview In this lecture, first let students deepen their basic understanding of "media". Then learn about the significance of media and journalism in the field of science and technology. The 21st century is the era when science and technology have the leading role. That is why science and technology and its achievements are constantly gaining attention as media coverage. People involved in science and technology are required to have advanced media adaptability. They are also required to actively disseminate information via media. Therefore, anyone who walks in the path of science and technology needs to acquire media literacy. In this lecture, I will cover actual stories of accidents and incidents related to science and technology, and consider the relationship between science & technology and media. Learn the basics of "science journalism" where trained scientists report the stories. In the lecture, media personnel and journalists engaged in the work of science and technology coverage will be invited.
Aims Have the students acquire the basic education about the media and have them deepen their understanding of the relationship between science and media. Ask them to deepen their understanding of science journalism and to be able to disseminate information themselves.
