講義の概要とねらい
今日、大規模な都市化が世界的に進んでいます。本授業の目的は「都市空間」について考えるきっかけをもってもらうために、知識やツールを提供することです。現在の都市論における都市問題や都市への理論的アプローチを知ることによって、履修者それぞれが現在の都市空間を観察する力、またその分析によって理想の未来都市のイメージを具体的に描ける想像力を鍛えること、これが本講義の狙いです。

授業の進め方
Each week students are assigned to read a short text of their choice from a reading list. They are asked to prepare notes to discuss them in a small group and eventually to report the content back to the class. Based on the key ideas and issues extracted from a small group discussion, we will open up a discussion to the class.
