Course description and aims

This course is designed for students to understand the outline of economy and society, even without preliminary knowledge. The course contains basic knowledge to be familiar with finance and economy, and viewpoints required to consider corporate activities.

This course aims to develop ability of each student to be more successful in the real world with wide range of knowledge and views regarding economy and society.

Class flow

This course requires students to take an active role in their own learning. It is required to submit a summary report at the end of each session.

Assessment criteria and methods

Assessment will be based on attendance and contribution to classes (35%), and report at the end of the course (65%).

If you are absent from a class, regardless of the reason, points are subtracted from the evaluation portion of the "attendance and contribution to classes."
There are no make-up assignments.
