Overview: In this lecture, after learning the basic culture of the media, we will take up the latest case of the media business and learn how science and technology can be useful in modern and future media. In general, the media business is recognized as making media content such as making broadcast programs, writing news articles, editing books, and writing novels. For this reason it is easily recognized as a work of humanities from a literary background and an artistic background. However, the media themselves that convey such contents are created by science and technology. Publishing is supported by printing technology, broadcasting is a result of communication technology. It was Mr. Kenjiro Takayanagi, a graduate of Tokyo Institute of Technology, who developed the basic technology of television ahead of the world. Nintendo's President Satoshi Iwata is also a graduate of Tokyo Institute of Technology. Now that the media content has been digitized and the main battlefield of the media has moved to the Internet, we can redefine the media business as a science work. In this lecture, learn the basics of the media and learn about the media business as a "scientists' work". We plan to invite parties involved in the management and production of the media business to the guests.
