>Course description
This course is open to everyone who is interested in Economics. The course is taught in a non-technical way, aiming at introducing to the students how economists think.By using case studies, students will learn how economic theories can be put into practice. Within the course, we will study the basics of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. Microeconomics is the study of individual agents and macroeconomics deals with a country's issues. Eonometrics is the study to test the validity of theoretical hypothesis in economics; it also covers the evaluation of public policies.
>Aims
Economics is a very useful tool to understand most things in our daily life. To understand the basic concepts is important, but it is more significant to form a habit of thinking in an economist's way. This will help us make better decisions and predictions, and look for the right answers by always asking why.
Students can learn framework to think from an economist' viewpoint about a range of issues. To be specific,
1) Understand some of the basic concepts and theories used by economists frequently.
2) Learn to read behind the graphs and tables.
3) Understand the combination of different analytical tools.

Course schedule: Dec. 26~Dec. 28 (three days in total)
There will be 3 classes on 27th and 28th respectively, from period 3-4 to 7-8. And there are only 2 classes on 26th.
※The final exam will be held separately. The date is to be decided upon consultation with the students on Dec. 26th.
Proposed dates: During any one of the period from 1-2 to 7-8 on Jan. 8th /Jan. 10th, or either of period 5-6 or 7-8 on Jan. 11th.

This lecture is self-contained and requires no textbook.
