Course description and aims

This course focuses on medical and medical care problem and consider social problem in the background. Look at a problem from all sides through group work and exchange opinions.
Medival and medical care are fields handling "illness". How is different form daily lefe to observe from the side of the illness , and what kind of problem hides behind?
Through the lesson, offer a lecture about the problem that it is hard to notice because it is "healthy", and discuss using the latest medical article and the document (treat object of art and art works from the media) .

The aim of this class that acquire ability to catch one problem from different angles and translate your thoughts into words.
Furthermore, can expect the improvement of the communicative competence by discussing a problem without a correct answer in a group.

Student learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Catch a problem from different angles not only medical but also society.
2) Think about a problem and you can show plural solutions.
3) You can make youre's thought words precisely andI convey a thought.
4) Understand that there are a variety of ways of thinking, and can discuss it.

Explain the point of the theme of the lecture with a picture work, afterwards perform group discussion using an example.

Class 2 Discussion case (1) medical care using Ai. Understand a problem with the Ai medical treatment and discuss.
Class 3 Discussion case (2) A physical disability and supporting technique Understand the social influence that a supporting technique brings on person with a physical disability and discuss in a variety of viewpoints.
Class 4 Discussion case (3) Organ transplantation-Uterus transplant Understand a risk of the organ transplantation and discuss uterus transplant from a social and l technical viewpoint.
Class 5 Discussion case (4) After art of cancer- cancer survivor Understand a physical disease and a social problem to occur after art of cancer and discuss it how a cancer survivor should live in society.
Class 6 Discussion case (5) Communication and Visual Understand that physical visuals considered to be "ideal" every times and culture are different and based on future technical development, discuss it what kind of problem can occur.
Class 7 Group work- Further discussion of the theme Divided into the group and choose a theme among the subject which I treated by a lecture, and discuss a theme deeply and express a thought by own words.
Class 8 Group presentation and case study Announce the conclusion that group led and try case study (short report).

Assessment criteria and methods

I evaluate every class remark and participation degree by the group work to perform(50%), and artifacts that were created using the acquired knowledge through teaching (50%).
