Course description and aims

Students will have interests and deepen their understanding of modern society of Japan. They will understand the concept "Japanese model," "Japan model" in sociological sciences, and basic ideas of sociology.

Student learning outcomes

Students will be able to
1) Explain the basic thoughts and characteristics of post war history of Japan.
2) View modern society using sociological thinking.
3) Explain "Japan model" and basic ideas of sociology.
