Course description and aims

Students will have interests and deepen their understanding of modern society of Japan. They will also understand the history of post war history of Japan.

Student learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Explain the basic thoughts and characteristics of post war history of Japan.
2) View modern society using sociological thinking.

Class flow

This course consists of lectures combined with discussions in small groups, presentations, and the like. Some student have to write the resume, report the content of the textbook. Lecturer will complement additionally in the discussion to understand further. Students must prepare the class.
