Course description and aims

This course is for students wishing to study Japanese law in detail starting in their first year, and replaces Advanced Humanities and Social Sciences. Students will advance their learning through discussions based on materials such as textbooks on jurisprudence, academic papers, and precedents and cases.

Student learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to have discussions based on their deeper understanding of sociology such as jurisprudence.

Students must make contact by e-mail before registering. Students must attend every class. Completion of a broad range of lecture courses in jurisprudence (LAH.S101 Constitutional Law and LAH.S102 Civil Law) is recommended. Continuous completion of seminars is advised.
