Course description and aims

The instructor wants to develop a learning community on the topic of "creating a space of participation, collaboration, and bliss", in pursuit of broad growth as a unique human being.
Specifically there are two things to learn through the experience. The first is the technique for creating a participation space that facilitates workshops and constructive dialogue. Students draw on each of their thoughts and knowledge to learn the skills and spirit of facilitators, evolving on the interactive path to great learning and creations. The other is holistic core skills. The instructor will cultivate students' mindfulness to regulate their body, breathing, and mind to concentrate on the here and now.

Student learning outcomes

Students will learn to facilitate the creation of a constructive space in which straight-forward, enjoyable conversations can be had, which are pleasant to both parties.
Students will learn the basic techniques and habits for regulating their own body, breathing, and mind, such that they can live not in the past or future, but in the here and now, subjectively.

Workshop style and reading class style. The instructor does not give one-way lectures, but rather fosters an interactive learning community.

Class 1 Every other Wednesday, 2 classes will be held together. Each student will be in charge of presentation of the text. Detailed schedule will be decided at the orientation. Preparation for the presentation.

Assessment criteria and methods

Active participation 80%, Final report 20%.
