How can we empower each other to face a lot of social issues such as environmental crisis. I would like to cultivate "Active hope" for our own sustainable future instead of expecting others' action passively. We will learn Active Hope from the work that reconnects which has been developed by Joanna Macy and spread widely all over the world.
The aim of this course is to facilitate students' ability to face social issues and act forward.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1)have an understanding of today's situation as a great turning in front of many social issues such as environmental crisis.
2)realize the new concept of life sustain society instead of industrial growth society for our sustainable future.
3)grasp the basic attitude to enrich personal life and this society by acting positively.

Each class follows the process of the work that reconnects. Most of the classes are facilitated as workshop style. Attendance is taken in every class.
