The standardization strategy is a strategy to create new global rules or systems which are necessary for innovations.
This course gives an overview of the relation between global business and standardization. The standardization and conformity assessment including certification are important activities for global business. This course provides students for basic concepts of conformity assessment and standardization as rule making in the international community, as well as standardization and infrastructure development, standardization as a tool for social innovation.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Understand importance of standardization and conformity assessment for global business.
2) Use strategically standardization and conformity assessment for rule making in the international community, infrastructure development and social innovation.
