Course description and aims

This lecture focuses on the management of intellectual property in corporate R&D and business development. The lecture is based on case studies, exercises and discussions on how to incorporate intellectual property strategies in the planning and implementation of R&D and business development.

Student learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Essential knowledge of the management of intellectual property in R&D and business development,
2) How to apply intellectual property management in the planning and implementation of R&D and business development strategies.

The faculty member has practical experience in consulting firms and a venture capital. In addition, experts in intellectual property management are to be appointed as part-time lecturers.
