This lecture focuses on the management of intellectual property in corporate R&D and business development. The lecture is based on case studies, exercises and discussions on how to incorporate intellectual property strategies in the planning and implementation of R&D and business development.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:

2) How to apply intellectual property management in the planning and implementation of R&D and business development strategies.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
Reference documents are to be circulated or projected at each class.
Evaluation will be based on lecture reports, group discussion and presentations, and the final report. Details will be given in the guidance.
