Course description and aims

Students will analyze and get a picture of the current situation of economics and social systems for areas in which science and technology is closely related to society and policy such as energy, biology, medicine, information, and services.
Through this course, students will learn the methodology for analyzing socioeconomic systems, as well as deepen their understanding of specific systems.

In this course, students are expected to:
1) Understand descriptive and analytical methodology on economic and social systems,
2) Describe and analyze a specific economic and social system.

Class 5 Multi-level analysis (2) Describe relationships among elements and systems.
Class 6 Multi-stakeholder analysis (1) Extract actors in the system and understand the interactions among them.
Class 7 Multi-stakeholder analysis (2) Model mutual dependency and influence among actors embedded in the system.
Class 8 Presentation Explain the current status of the economic and social system as a logical and systematic story.
