The objectives of the course are the following:
1) To examine the current state of science and engineering ethics research and education in Japan and the other parts of the world
2) To curry out a research on a case having to do with science and engineering ethics and critically analyze the case
3) To produce an educational module for science and engineering ethics
By successfully completing this course, students will be able to
1) explain the current state of research and education of engineering ethics
2) explain the current state of research and education of responsible conduct of research
3) explain causes and background of a case having to do with SEE
4) produce an educational module for SEE education using the case method

The course is conducted in the work shop style where students have to carry out investigations and make presentations on their findings.
