In this course, you will learn about waste/biomass-to-energy technology. At first, you will learn thermal efficiency based on basic thermodynamics. You will also learn basic technologies of exhaust gas and wastewater treatments. After that, you will practice simulations of urban metabolisms including water supply, wastewater treatment, and waste management. It will be helpful for you to understand the advantages and disadvantages of waste/biomass-to-energy technology.

In the first half of the course, you will learn basic thermodynamics and basic technologies for environmental protection. In the latter half of the course, you will practice simulations of urban metabolisms.
