Course description and aims

The course provides the overview of the severe accident phenomena that threaten the integrity of the reactor containment vessel. An overview of the severe accident analysis results and the evaluation results of Fukushima accidents progression will be also learned.
In the tasks in nuclear reactor severe accident simulation, the simulation training of BWR transients, design basis accidents and severe accidents will be done.

Student learning outcomes

To let students experience BWR normal operation, transients ,design basis accidents and severe accidents.
