講義の概要とねらい

In a close future, "connected objects" are expected to be everywhere in our daily life (connected objects for home, health, classroom...). To create connected objects, design engineers have to consider their interface with users and the way people use them and interact with them. This is called "Interaction Design".

This course introduces students to the basic practices of Interaction Design. We follow a human-centered design process that includes research, concept generation and prototyping. The class is made of several design workshops and students must work in small teams to design interactive user experiences (e.g. wearable tech, “smart things”, tangible interfaces). Students will become familiar with interaction design methodologies such as storyboarding, video-prototyping and interactions prototyping with micro-computers.

到達目標

By the end of the course, students will be able to :
- imagine innovative concepts for interactive products
- describe their ideas with specific design tools (e.g. video-prototyping)
- prototype interactive products with micro-computers (e.g. Arduino/Genuino)

キーワード

授業の進め方

A series of two consecutive classes is made of a lecture followed by a design workshop.
The students will work on a project during the design workshops in class.
The theme of the project will be announced in class.
