[Outline] In this course, after learning about the basic principles and research methods for electrode reactions of organic compounds, students will study electrode reaction theory and electrosynthesis theory that leverages the special characteristics of electrode reactions. The instructor will also present examples of new techniques and industrialization processes in organic electrochemistry.
[Goals] By studying the electrode reactions of organic compounds, students will deepen their understanding of molecular transformations and material synthesis from electrical energy, as well as the interface reactions of energy devices.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Explain the electron-transfer behavior of organic compounds.
2) Have an understanding of the synthetic and material applications of electrogenerated species.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
