This lecture focuses on nuclear waste management, especially for geological disposal for high level radioactive waste generated in nuclear fuel cycle. The lecture covers geochemical aspects of the disposal. The lecture introduces how rock system can and will retain radioactive waste materials for long time.
To understand over all of radioactive waste disposal.
To understand the system of geological disposal.
To understand multi-barrier system to prevent migration of radionuclides in geosphere.
To understand natural analogue of disposal
Waste disposal, high level waste, nuclear fuel cycle, waste form, natural analogue.
