This course is only for students of "Tokyo Tech Advanced Human Resource Development Fellowship for Doctoral Students." The purpose of this relatively short-term internship is to gain the experience necessary to become human resources who will create scientific and technological innovations to realize a smart society based on the concept of Cyber Physical & Social Systems (CPS2), one of the strategic areas established by Tokyo Tech to lead global research.

Students will determine their internship institutions in consultation with their supervisors. To understand the actual situation of research and development through practical work, and to learn them. At the end of the internship, students are required to report orally and in writing on the activities at the internship institutions, and the results. Students will provide their oral presentations to several faculty members, including the supervisor, who will respond to questions and comments. A pass/fail decision will be made after a report is made by the supervisor at the course meeting.

Students are required to submit written and oral reports on the content of their preliminary research and activities during the internship, and the achievement level of the objectives is assessed by a consensus of multiple faculty members. The results of the evaluation will be reported at the course meeting and a decision will be made after deliberation.
