Course description and aims

The students participate the internship at organization or company related to the field of civil and environmental engineering, and experience the actual work of engineering design, construction, or research and development.
Through the internship, the students study about the relationship between actual practices and the studies in the university.

Student learning outcomes

The students participate the internship at organization or company related to the field of civil and environmental engineering and experience the actual work of engineering design, construction, or research and development, and then study about their relation with the study in the university. Furthermore, sharing the experience in the field work, broadening the perspective on the role of civil and environmental engineering in the society.

Class flow

(1) Using long vacation, conduct internship at a place related to civil and environmental engineering for about two weeks
(2) The internship place will be coordinated by the instructor. But the student can find the place by his own effort.
(3) Make internship report
(4) Oral presentation of the internship with the classmate to share the experience.
