This lecture aims at acquiring basic methods of facility planning considering not only in the usual situation but also in case of emergency or disaster. First, types and usages of various disaster related information surrounding facilities (such as disaster prevention/mitigation planning in densely built-up wooden residential areas, hazard maps, evacuation planning) are introduced. Next, the countermeasures at emergency/disaster at facilities such as ‘Business continuity plan (BCP)’ and ‘District continuity plan (DCP)’ are reviewed. This course also aims at acquiring the ability through lecture and exercise to utilize various kinds of quantitative/qualitative data and geographic information system (GIS) for disaster prevention/mitigation planning at the facility. Finally, students are given exercise works related to disaster prevention/mitigation planning and emergency/disaster response countermeasure for actual facilities, and make a presentation about the works.
At the end of this course, students will be able to acquire basic methods of facility planning considering not only in the usual situation but also in case of emergency or disaster.
