Course description and aims

This course gives the overview of post-earthquake damage evaluation and rehabilitation of steel structures. Topics include a basis of seismic performances and retrofit of building structures.

Student learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Explain the overview of post-earthquake damage evaluation and rehabilitation of steel structures
2) Evaluate the degree of damage of framing components from visible information
3) Propose rehabilitation design for a simple damaged structure
