Course description and aims

The air cleaning technology can apply for building, urban, global environmental problems, as well as cleanroom for semiconductor factories and hospitals. This course provides the problems of air quality and the solutions of cleaning technology.
This course focuses on the basics of air quality, method of air cleaning and measurement of air for applying to each research field.

Student learning outcomes

Students will be able to understand the basics of air characteristics, air pollution, aerosol dynamics and air cleaning technology as well as contamination control for cleanroom. Furthermore, you will be able to examine the method of monitoring and cleaning of air pollutants so that you will apply for your research field.

Keywords

Indoor air quality, Air cleaning, Air pollution

Competencies that will be developed

Specialist skills Intercultural skills Communication skills Critical thinking skills Practical and/or problem-solving skills

Class flow

In the first half of the course, lectures about urban and built environments are given. In the latter half, students should make a presentation and review about air cleaning technology.
