The first to third classes are done in lecture format and explain the circumstances that architectural designers face. From the fourth class on, lectures are given by globally successful guest speakers on practical, specific design techniques. Students will submit design exercise problems and hold discussions at review sessions.
Students will gain an understanding of the various roles of engineers and designers in architectural design and acquire the design skills to comprehensively improve the quality of architecture.
The instructor will show practical examples of architect's collaborative techniques with electrical design engineering, air-conditioning and sanitation equipment engineering, illumination design, sign design, and landscape design, such that students understand the role of architectural designers.
