The class reviews history on the theories, methods and systems of urban design in Japan and in the world, with a lot of practices on urban design, so as to comprehend the values inherent in cities.
Through the lectures of the class, the participants must make themselves to understand the overview the characteristics and the historical flow of developments on urban design. Additionally, the methods and the theories to analyze urban environments and space will be cultivated.
