The course focuses on observation skills, imagination skills and expression skills that are needed for city planning and community design through students’ exercises.
Students will have the chance to tackle practical city problems by applying knowledge acquired through this couce.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Apply knowledge of city planning and community design to solve problems related to the field
2)Explain concepts based on KJ method logivally, discuss them, and them in writing
3)Have developed communication and presentation skills
4)Have gained experience in project management involving planning, scheduling and control

Students’ course scores are based on final report (50%) and final presentation (50%).The instructor may fail a student if he/she repeatedly comes to class late or resubmits reports too often.
Those who graduated other universities than Tokyo Tech are expected to take this studio.
