This is an intensive course to visit many historic architectures and see their characteristics on site.
It is necessary for the students who are expected to be a successful architect in the world to learn how their own architectural culture had been developed in its history.
The aim of this course is to deepen our understanding on the characteristics of traditional Japanese architecture through visiting many important cultural properties in Kinki district.

This intensive course requires students to participate in two-day lectures and a six-day tour for the course credit.

Full attendance of 6 days tour and submission of the final report are requested to the participants.
The participants are limited to 30 in this class. If the applicants are over 30, the student of architectural department has priority.
The schedule will be changed into the latter semester of faculty year 2020-2021 (probably in February or March 2021). Depending on the situation with colona virus, it is possible to be cancelled. Please pay attention to the information from the lecturer.
