Students learn the structural mechanisms of fundamental building frames such as the cantilevered beam and the truss structures through lectures and exercises. Exercises are conducted after each lecture.
This course is intended to be the cornerstone of all structural subjects, and firm understanding of the basic theory is very important.
The instructor provides lectures writing on the blackboard, and additionally some documents are distributed as a learning aid.
I Learning the analytical method for member stress and deformation of a cantilevered beam, which is one of the statically determinate structures.
II The general topics mostly consist of force equilibrium, cantilevered beams, and statically determinate structures.
