Course description and aims

During stay in Tsinghua University in the TokyoTech-Tsinghua University Joint Graduate Program, students attend academic seminars or symposia held in foreign languages in China for a total of 3 days, and write reports for each meeting from a scientific point if view.
This course aims to make students understand science and technology, as well as the education system of science and technology, in different countries, thereby accumulating an international academic career.

Student learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. understand the contents of academic seminars or symposia held in foreign languages, as well as the way of thinking toward science and technology in different countries, and explain them in English.

Assessment criteria and methods

Whether the student describes the contents of academic seminars or symposia that he/she attended clearly in English, and whether he/she understands the way of thinking toward science and technology in different countries, are assessed by the academic supervisor.
