Course description and aims

In modern society, in order to revitalize innovation aimed at creating new industries that will lead the future, there is a strong demand for training human resources to promote the creation of start-up companies based on university seeds and the creation of new business by existing companies. Through this course, we grasp the innovation model outline and understand and consider the position and role as a startup company in innovation. We also grasp the current status and examples of start-up companies in bio, medical care and healthcare industries and learn the intellectual property strategy foundation necessary for start-up. Furthermore, by simulating business creation using actual patent examples, we experience the actualization of commercialization.

Student learning outcomes

Learn the following abilities by taking this class.
1) Entrepreneurial spirit and creativity by learning entrepreneurship theory and business creation methodology
2) Problem setting ability and problem-solving ability in business by acquiring MOT education and business mind etc.
3) Active learning and teamwork skills by practicing business creation exercises by group
4) Patent planning ability by learning the intellectual property strategy foundation

Students take lectures of various experts on business creation at each round, and carry out simulation for business creation in a small group as exercises.
