[Summary of the course] This course explains standard materials, traceability of measurement, and the basic method of data management for appropriate evaluation of experimental data. It facilitates students’ ability to conduct introductory data management such as least square method through learning principles and doing exercises. It also explains principles and characteristics of measurement method for gas analysis such as gas chromatography and absorption spectroscopy.
[Aim of the course] Students will be able to evaluate their data or results from measurement instruments appropriately having understanding of data management method and principles of analytical methods.
At the end of this course, students will have following knowledge and capabilities.
1) Point of view on evaluation of data uncertainty
2) Basic point of statistical methods and capability to calculate uncertainty
3) Basic points for obtaining internationally consistent results
4) Standard materials and methods for gas analysis
Gas analysis method, Uncertainty, Data management, Traceability, International equality
