Course description and aims

Doctoral students make presentations on their research results at international conferences in English or other foreign languages. This course aims to cultivate academic international presentation and communication skills, and also to clarify student's research work position in society/academia and its importance through the process for preparing and giving a oral or poster presentation at a conference or workshop.

By the end of the course, students will have the following skills:

Class flow

Students prepare the presentation before an international conference and submits an abstract. Students must have presentation material checked by his/her academic supervisors and hold a rehearsal before the presentation in the lab. After the presentation is completed, student summarizes the presentation, printout of program/abstract, and submits report to energy course director
