[Summary of the lecture] This course focuses on chemical substances formed by biophile elements, hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur, and covers the latest topics on the chemical substances cycles in the Earth's surface environments. Especially, the relation between changes in the chemical substances cycles and global environmental problems is explained. Some cutting-edge technologies for measurement of chemical substances methods are introduced.
[Aim of the lecture] To understand the natural cycles of environmental chemical substances and artificial effects on them is essential for students in applied chemistry. To learn cutting-edge technologies used in environmental chemistry and geochemistry is also useful for students. The purpose of this course is to find the relation own study theme and chemical substances cycles and/or cutting-edge technologies introduced.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Explain distributions and cycles of some important environmental chemical substances
2) Explain the relation between environmental chemical substances and environmental problems
3) Acquire the knowledge of some cutting-edge technologies for environmental analysis
material cycles, element cycle, chemical substances, environmental analysis
✔ Specialist skills | Intercultural skills | Communication skills | Critical thinking skills | Practical and/or problem-solving skills |
(1) Lectures about cutting-edge technologies for environmental analysis, (2) Submission of a report about the lecture
