Course description and aims

This is one of the courses to train global nuclear safety and security agents in the series of "Nuclear Dojo 1-6".
In this course, students discuss how human society in the 21st century faces a number of Global Critical Issues (Global Security Issues) that threaten the basis of human survival. Specifically mentioned are "energy security", "global environmental security", "water and food security", " natural resources security", "life and medical security", "social and information security", "nuclear power security (nuclear terrorism)", etc. Students discuss together and with the instructor how to deal with these issues scientifically, technologically, socially, and politically, deepening their understand of these problems.

Students discuss with other students and lecturers about how we should manage these global critical issues scientifically/technologically and/or socially/politically.

Class flow

The question of how "Global Critical Issues" (Global Security Issues) should be dealt with scientifically, technologically, socially, and politically is put forward, and students prepare in advance to present in the first half of a class, followed by discussions with the instructor, deepening their understanding of these issues.
